Respect for privacy is an important part of Mer's corporate culture. The corporate culture enables customers, suppliers and other interested parties to trust Mer to handle their personal data correctly. We continually work to ensure that we comply with all relevant privacy laws, as well as internal privacy policies and personal data protection. This Privacy Policy explains how, why and for how long Mer processes your personal data.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HANDLING OF PERSONAL DATA?

Mer Germany GmbH and Mer Solutions GmbH are data controllers and responsible for ensuring that personal data is processed in accordance with relevant data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and national data protection laws. Mer Germany or Mer Solutions may be jointly responsible for data processing with one or more companies within the Mer Group.

We use a selection of providers that offer services within IT, cloud services, etc.. We allow these vendors to access/receive your personal data to the extent necessary to provide the service. We enter into data processing agreements with our vendors to protect your personal data. We use data processors outside the EU/EEA only if there is a legal basis for the transfer of the personal data.

Authorities

We also disclose personal data in the event of legal claims, for example, pursuant to a judgment, court order or decision of a court or administrative authority or in the course of legal proceedings.

  • the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the personal data controller is party or in order to take the necessary steps prior to the conclusion of the contract at the request of the personal data controller
  • the processing is necessary pursuant to a legal obligation to which Mer is subject
  • processing is necessary to protect the life or health of the data controller or other persons
  • processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or imposed on Mer by a public authority.
  • processing is necessary for the purposes of protecting the legitimate interests of Mer or of third parties, except where the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject override and require the protection of personal data

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right at any time:

  • provide us with further details about how we process your personal data
  • request a copy of the personal data that we process in relation to you
  • Update or correct your personal data
  • To know the logic behind the automated processing of your personal data in cases where we use automated decision making
  • request the deletion of personal data for the processing of which we no longer have a legal basis
  • request that we provide you with your personal data in a structured, known and machine-readable format or transfer the information to another processor;
  • Have us terminate a particular processing of your personal data on the basis of a legitimate interest, unless the purpose of our data processing precedes data protection
  • Restrict how we use your personal information
  • complain via the contact details in the privacy policy or to the competent court
